Which FortiGate do you need?

  • FortiGate 30GUp to about 15 people on a circuit up to about 300 Mbps, or an SD-WAN spoke behind a hub.
  • FortiGate 50G10 to 25 people on 300 Mbps to 1 Gbps, with a managed switch doing the LAN. SFP, PoE+, 5G and DSL variants.
  • FortiGate 70G20 to 50 people where the firewall is also the switch, or a few access points need PoE.
  • FortiGate 90G40 to 80 people, a circuit above 1 Gbps, two circuits for SD-WAN, or a 10G core switch.
  • FortiGate 901GA data-center edge, campus core or SD-WAN hub: an HA pair with 10G and 25G uplinks.

The circuit decides more than the headcount: we want threat-protection throughput at or above about 70 percent of the internet speed with all profiles on. The FortiGate sizing guide has the full rules and the 30G to 90G comparison.

Need a different model?

We quote every current FortiGate, including models between the 90G and the 901G such as the 120G, plus FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and renewals. Send the part number, or the circuit speed, user count and what the firewall has to do, and we will pick the model. See Fortinet reseller for everything we sell.

How buying works

Exact part numbers

Every line on the quote is an exact Fortinet part number and term, sized to your circuit and the services you run. Your written quote confirms current pricing, tax and shipping.

Prepaid, drop-shipped

Payment clears before the distributor order. The unit ships from distribution to your site; freight is billed at actual cost.

Registered to you

Hardware and subscriptions go on your FortiCare account, not ours. Serials and contract dates are on the invoice.

Renewals tracked

We watch the expiry for every serial we sell and contact you at 120, 90, 60 and 30 days out.

Who you are buying from

Fortinet partner status

Fortinet Engage partner, Advocate level.

We buy through Fortinet’s authorized U.S. distribution. Every unit is new, in-channel and registered to your own FortiCare account. Our Fortinet partner ID goes on every quote so you can verify it.

What it doesn’t include

No change hours are included. Standard remote changes you ask for bill at $225/hr, 30-minute minimum; larger engineering work is quoted first. Hardware, licensing and migration are quoted separately.

Getting started

One-time monitoring launch: $3,500 for the first site (dashboard, alert routing, baseline, runbook). Faster response and included change hours are on the Secure and Compliance plans.
