Fortinet Engage Advocate Partner, Integrator

Dedicated Network Engineering

We engineer networks.
That's all we do.

We operate the network and security infrastructure for Sacramento, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley organizations where downtime isn't an option and auditors expect answers. A network-only managed service provider (MSP): firewalls, switching, wireless, VPN and monitoring, with no desktops and no help desk.

Monthly Managed network from $695/site/month; a single FortiGate from $199/month Fixed price Network Risk Assessment from $3,500 See pricing →

30 minutes with Jeff Johnson, founder, ex-Meta, senior network engineer (Cisco, Fortinet and CompTIA certified). Already have an IT provider? Keep them; we run the network layer alongside.

Start here

What we do: managed network services, assessments and migrations.

Design, fixes and day-to-day operations for your firewall, switching, Wi-Fi and WAN circuits (your internet connections and links between sites). Three ways to start.

Managed FortiGate

Automated checks on every device in your plan, settings backed up so changes can be rolled back, and a monthly summary. Engineer response Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM Pacific; the entry plan responds next business day and bills changes at $225/hr, 30-minute minimum.

Network Risk Assessment

One fixed price, set by how many sites, firewalls, switch groups, devices and access points you have. You get a report, a network diagram and a 30-60-90 day plan, ranked by risk. You keep all three. HIPAA, PCI DSS or SOC 2 mapping available.

FortiGate 60E Replacement

FortiGate 60E end of support is December 29, 2026: after that date, Fortinet stops issuing security fixes for it. We pick the replacement, move your settings, and cut over on a schedule, with the old unit kept for rollback. Like-for-like swap labor $2,500 fixed; hardware quoted separately by part number. SSL-VPN conversion quoted after scoping.

Three sites. No architecture. Zero outages.

Two firewall vendors, one flat VLAN, a single ISP, no failover, no logging. None of it was built for the reliability and compliance the business needed.

The redesign added VLAN segmentation across all sites, one firewall standard, ISP failover with automatic cutover, redundant site-to-site VPN and full monitoring; no site has had an unplanned outage since (as of October 2026).

Common signs

If three or more of these apply, the network needs a structured review.

These rarely arrive as a ticket; they arrive as the outage nobody can explain, the audit that takes three weeks, or the change everyone postpones.

  1. The network is run in reactive mode

    Every change brings unplanned troubleshooting.

  2. Changes happen, records don’t

Nobody can say which firewall rules are still needed, or who added the last twenty.

  3. Failover has never been tested

There are two ISPs and two firewalls on paper, and the last time one actually failed, the site went down anyway.

  4. Audit evidence is assembled under pressure

Diagrams, configs and change records get pulled together the week the auditor asks, from memory and screenshots.

  5. Every site is a little different

The same company runs five sites on five different standards.

  6. Nobody owns the network layer

The generalist MSP handles desktops, the ISP handles the circuit, and the firewall and switching in between are owned by no one.

Each one traces to a network managed without a design, a standard or an owner.

Who this fits: multi-site offices, healthcare, legal, financial services, SaaS offices and light industrial.

Why Ambio

Four things a procurement checklist can verify.

  1. 01

    Network only

One layer, run as a discipline: design standards, change control, monitoring and the audit evidence they produce.

  2. 02

The engineer who designs it is the one you call

No tiered queue. Business-hours calls and tickets go to the engineer who designed your network and holds its documentation.

  3. 03

Fortinet and Cisco depth. Any enterprise gear.

Fortinet Engage partner and Fortinet reseller, with a published FortiGate model catalog. We also manage the Cisco, Aruba, Arista and other enterprise gear you already run.

  4. 04

    Written artifacts after every engagement

Diagrams, as-builts, change records and configuration backups, yours to keep, whoever runs the network next.

Your Path

From assessment to operations.

Managed plans and projects that change the design start with an assessment. Exceptions: single-FortiGate monitoring, like-for-like FortiGate swaps, prepaid hours, and management of a single firewall we installed or swapped. Full requirements →

  1. 01

    Network Risk Assessment

We map what is actually installed: firewall rules, which devices can reach which, where settings have drifted from what was intended, and what would fail first.

  2. 02

    Architecture and design

A documented plan with clear standards, approved by you, before a single change is made. See a before-and-after design.

  3. 03

    Implementation

Rehearsed in our lab, scheduled with you, cut over with a rollback plan.

  4. 04

    Ongoing Operations

Devices and links on your plan checked every minute, every change recorded, a summary each month. See managed plans.

Change it safely

Firewall migration from $6,500. A VPN-to-ZTNA move is quoted after scoping, because the work depends on your users, rules and applications.

Audit and compliance

Compliance work covers the network side of HIPAA, PCI DSS and SOC 2: segmentation, firewall change records and the evidence an auditor asks for.

Tekmirio design partners: by invitation.

On site in Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay Area and San Jose; remote across California and for multi-site organizations across the U.S. Local pages: Sacramento MSP, San Francisco MSP, San Jose MSP.

Next step

One conversation. Then you decide.

The call is 30 minutes and commits you to nothing.

What you get back

  • A reply from the engineer, not a sales team, within 1 business day.
  • A proposal with the price before any work starts.
  • A plain yes or no on fit.
